An experienced Clinical Psychologist who can offer you the support you need to help you through life’s challenges

Life brings challenges to us all and improving your mental health and quality of life takes the right guidance and support. I specialise in helping people cope at key life stages and with significant and distressing events. I offer expert psychological therapy aimed at helping people negotiate the human challenges we can all face – complex life decisions and transitions, managing stress and burnout, experience of abuse and trauma, conflict and separation, parenting and family life, physical illness, ageing, grief and loss – to name but a few.

“Remember, we all stumble, every one of us.

That’s why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand”

Emily Kimbrough

Therapy with me is compassionate, safe and empathetic, yet I will also challenge and stretch you, to enable meaningful and long-lasting change. Whether this is a one-off session to create insight and understanding, or a longer therapeutic relationship or treatment, my work combines professional expertise and experience with an authentic and relatable approach.

This approach works, and it has enabled me to help people with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties for over 15 years, within roles in the NHS, not-for-profit and charitable organisations, and in private practice.

Testimonials

I was extremely sceptical about having therapy, didn’t think I needed it. Very stubborn to the thought of speaking to someone about my feelings...but Jenny has taught me how to let go of the bags of emotions I was carrying around, that it’s ok to feel sad, it’s good to cry, it’s not a failure….it’s life. She also taught me how to listen to my emotions, put myself first for a change. I am now the one in control of my emotions, less stressed, doing things that I never thought I would be brave enough to do. Doing things for me. I couldn’t speak more highly of Jenny, she’s given me a new confidence and I will be eternally grateful.

At every stage of the most excruciating grief I’ve ever experienced, Jenny provided me with perspective, hope, strategies and a safe space. Quite simply she was my lifeline. After each session I left with a sense of hope. Something that at a time of intense grief is vital. When I look back on the aftermath of my mum’s death, and at the intense grief, anger, and disbelief that followed, Jenny gave me the safe space to eventually find a way through.
